Reviews and Ratings
I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel! The rooms had a great view of the mountains, were reasonably sized, and very clean and functional. The only minor issue was the shower curtain being a bit tricky, but it wasn't a big deal. The service was top-notch with the reception staff being incredibly friendly and accommodating. The location was perfect for exploring the city center on foot, and having free private parking right in front of the hotel was a big plus. The dining experience could have been better with more variety for breakfast, but overall, it was a wonderful experience.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The room was quite spacious with two beds on the upper gallery and two on the bottom floor, suitable for four people but the private bathroom was too small. The layout was interesting, with a small stairway leading to the upper beds which made it somewhat cozy. However, the size could feel a bit cramped at times.
My stay at this modest family feel hotel had its ups and downs. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, but there was a terrible odor emanating from the bathroom. The service was friendly and helpful, although the night shift seemed a little overchallenged at times. The location was perfect for our needs, close to the city center and convenient for tours. The dining experience was okay but could be more varied. On the bright side, the homemade cake and free teas added a nice touch to the atmosphere.
The hotel offers small rooms that are okay if you don't have large luggage, but they were quite filthy; however, the location is not too bad and great for exploring Reykjavik with a short walk to the city center. The service was amazing with very helpful and friendly staff, while the dining could have had more variety. Overall, a decent choice if you prioritize a helpful staff and a convenient location.
